Which Widgets are Allowed on Which Pages

The SocialEngine Layout Editor is a powerful tool that allows you arrange blocks and widgets on your site. Using the Layout Editor, you can create your own custom pages or edit existing pages to display the information you want. Over one hundred blocks or widgets are available for you to drag and drop directly on the page you desire.

What is a Block or Widget?

“Blocks” and “Widgets” are containers that hold information or perform some sort of function within a container. For example, the “New Members” block displays the most recent sign ups for your website. The “Activity Feed” block allows a member to post a status update and displays recent activity (photo uploads, status updates, etc). The “RSS Widget” allows you to set an URL for an RSS feed that you want to display on your site wherever you place it.

Which Blocks or Widgets go Where?

Some widgets or blocks will not work on all pages. To help you explore what's possible when customizing the layout, we've put together this spreadsheet of all of the pages in the Layout Editor and the available blocks or widgets for these pages.
